Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament October 7, 2006
THANK YOU to all of our Texas Hold’Em players, sponsors, donors and volunteers for sharing our hope of finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Together we were able to raise close to $7,000 to advance the research so important to finding a cure for this devastating disease, and the timing is critical. As one of the country’s top researchers said recently; “Not only are the answers to cure DMD on the horizon, they are now right in front of us.” We are in a race to the finish line, and your support of the Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament and the Ryan’s Hope Foundation is helping us to get there.

Our heartfelt thanks to you all, and a special thank you to our Poker Tournament sponsors:

Beginner’s Luck! It was only the second time he had ever played the game, but that didn’t stop Jeff Davis of Natick (right) from walking away with the top prize of the evening. UPS’s George Hoey (left) of Lynnfield raked in the second prize. Both winners are long-time supporters of the Ryan’s Hope Foundation. With them is Scott Hastings of Plainville, vice president of the Foundation and Ryan’s dad.
Big Papi Prize: Scott Hastings congratulates raffle winner Todd Kirby of Natick, who took home the signed David Ortiz Red Sox jersey. A huge sports fan, Kirby also coaches a local championship girls softball team.
